Huntsville Restaurant Week
August 11-20, 2017
It’s the most wonderful time of the year. Huntsville, AL is hosting its annual celebration of the city’s best and off the beaten path culinary spots – for a fraction of the price. Huntsville Restaurant Week is the month’s best excuse to forget about your waist line and treat yo self!
Disclosure: I partnered with Huntsville Tourism Board on this article and they kindly provided dinner at the restaurants who will be participating in Huntsville Restaurant Week. I am a professional travel and food site that receives compensation from the companies whose hotels, restaurants, and products I review. Affiliate links support this site at no cost to you. Go travel and grub out on plenty of food.
I was more than thrilled The Huntsville Tourism Board invited me to get a preview of the Huntsville’s culinary scene for their restaurant week! Yall know I don’t turn down food so I had been counting down the time to taste all of the amazing dishes being served up by restaurants all over Huntsville!
Every August Huntsville’s favorite local restaurants take part in creating seasonal prix-fixe dishes which you can enjoy at a fraction of the price for either lunch or dinner.
Huntsville Restaurant Week also corresponds with Alabama Restaurant Week as the entire state of Alabama celebrates local restaurants throughout the state.
Thankfully this glorious event runs from Friday, August 11th to Sunday, August 20th so you can take advantage of the great meal deals through the week. While reservations are not required, they are strongly encouraged because of the high volume of customers the restaurants will receive. If you would like to book a reservation, contact the restaurants directly and click here to view the schedule.
Pace yourselves – this is a marathon, not a sprint.
Here are my top reasons why you should go:
1. Good food.
There are countless restaurants participating in Restaurant Week this year. This event is growing by leaps and bounds every year! Even if you ate out for lunch and dinner every day during Restaurant Week, you wouldn’t be able to hit them all. Restaurant Week is the perfect opportunity to try new restaurants or the place you have been saying I’ve got to get by there but hadn’t had the time such as New Orleans LunchBox which happens to be inside of a gas station of all places. #DineHSV #IHeartHSV
2. It’s inexpensive.
Fine dining without the large bill. Many of the restaurants participating are upscale, trendy, and fine dining restaurants that would normally cost upwards of $25 just for an entrée. During restaurant week, you can get a delish prix-fixe dinner at some of the best restaurants in Huntsville for $20 like Yoshi Sushi Fusion. I can’t stress enough how absolutely delicious the meals are and for such a low price point you better make your way to Huntsville. #DineHSV #IHeartHSV
3. Experience Huntsville Food Culture.
While people may not think of Huntsville when they think of cities with fantastic culinary scenes the food scene in Huntsville is growing, and expanding every day. There are innovative restaurants like Rocket City Tavern that are making Huntsville a destination for foodies. Don’t let the fact Rocket City Tavern is in a strip mall fool you because as the old phrase goes “Don’t judge a book by its cover” has never been so true! #DineHSV #IHeartHSV
4. Why Not?
Huntsville Restaurant Week celebrates the very best of Huntsville while bringing the community together through great food and supporting local businesses. Restaurant Week is designed to unite not just the people of Huntsville but surrounding states such as Tennessee, Kentucky, and Georgia. What better way to show appreciation for the culture of your city.#DineHSV #IHeartHSV
5. There is something for everyone.
From the pickiest eater to your most adventurous friend, there is a restaurant and menu choice for everyone. The Athletic Club Alabama is not just your premier health and fitness club but also serves up some of the best dishes in Alabama from the BLT for grown folks to the New Orleans style shrimp pasta. The best thing about Athletic Club Alabama is you don’t have to be a member to dine here. #DineHSV #IHeartHSV
Most ingredients are locally sourced, organic and healthy. Even more, reasons to participate in Huntsville Restaurant Week.
6. Great Reason to try craft brews
New for 2017: Huntsville is known for their Craft Beer Trail and Huntsville Restaurant Week definitely stepped its game up by incorporating craft beer into restaurant week for those that love beer!#DineHSV #IHeartHSV
7. No hassle date night.
Who needs Netflix & Chill when you have Huntsville Restaurant Week? Summer 2017 is the year of the real dinner date. These hot summer nights are a perfect time for a night out with your hubby or wife, and Restaurant Week is making it super easy for you to impress bae with the hottest spots in Huntsville like Nick’s Ristorante.
