I was traveling to Atlanta for a Girl’s Weekend Getaway. Thanks to DriveShop and Mitsubishi for offering me the 2017 Mitsubishi Hatchback GT for the weekend. I was so excited to be receiving a Mitsubishi because their cars are reliable and sophisticated, which is exactly what I needed for a “Girl’s Getaway.” I partnered with Driveshop Atlanta in exchange for this post and all thoughts and opinions are mine. #DriveMitsubishi #DriveShop Full disclosures.
Bigger isn’t always better
The Mitsubishi GT was able to hold all 3 of my girlfriends and myself comfortably. This car would be perfect for college students, small families, or singles. Lucky for us it was unseasonably warm in January with temperatures in the high 70’s and we were able to roll the windows down and listen to the awesome sound system. The ride itself was smooth in the city and on the highway.
It wasn’t that long ago that the subcompact cars were something of a joke in North America. There wasn’t much interest in them because bigger was thought to be better; until gas prices shot up and now bigger is not better.
What else does the Mitsubishi offer?
Mitsubishi offers an awesome warranty and owners of the Mitsubishi Mirage GT will be happy to know this. Knowing you are getting the top of the line protection after buying a car is a plus and huge bonus. Every 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage comes with a generous warranty that includes a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain limited warranty, a 7-year/100,000-mile anti-corrosion/perforation limited warranty, a completely transferable 5-year/60,000-mile new vehicle limited warranty, and a 5-year/unlimited miles roadside assistance program.
The interior of any car is just as important as the exterior and this car offers a wealth of amenities. The Mitsubishi GT has great standard features; like the four speaker sound system, two power outlets, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and electric power steering; just to name a few. Standard features include:
- Air conditioning with pollen filter
- Leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob
- Soft-touch instrument panel trim
- 4 speaker 140-watt AM/FM/CD/MP3 audio system
- Electric Power Steering (EPS)
- 60/40 split-folding and reclining high-back rear seats with armrest and cup holder
- Dual visor vanity mirrors
- Center room lamp
- High-contrast gauge meters with full-color LCD Multi-Information Display
- FUSE Hands-Free Link System® w/USB port
- Tilt and telescopic steering wheel
- 6-way manually adjustable driver’s seat
- Power door locks and side view mirrors
- Power windows with driver’s one-touch up/down
- Steering-wheel-mounted audio and cruise control
- Two 12-volt power outlets
Overall the Mitsubishi GT Hatchback is a great car that provided a smooth ride and had great gas mileage. Singles, couples and smaller families would benefit from the long list of standard features and even though the storage space is small; it was big enough for my luggage. The warranty makes it even more attractive and is more reason to be impressed with this car. The GT Hatchback starts at $17,330 and it’s worth every penny.
