After remodeling our backyard this summer I decided to turn my sights on updating my kitchen with all new appliances. I wanted the whole shabang! New Refrigerator, microwave, stove, oven and dishwasher. I began to research top dishwashers at Best Buy because I was tired of unloading dishes only to find half of them were still dirty.
If you have found yourself researching the top dishwashers that must mean you are washing dishes by hand and we all know that is not any fun! Been there, done that so I want to take all of the guesswork out who has the top dishwasher brand in my opinion! Keep reading as I will answer the following questions:
- What brand of dishwasher is the most reliable?
- What are the best dishwashers for 2019?
- Is Bosch the best dishwasher?
- Which dishwasher cleans the best?
I researched a few different brands but the Bosch 800 series dishwasher stood out in the crowd and in my opinion you will receive the best bang for your buck.
I learned that most dishwashers will clean your dishes but will the appliance also be quiet, easy to load, and most importantly won’t break down on you after a year. After researching tons of dishwashers I believe the Bosch 800 Series dishwasher is the best on the market right now because of the CrystalDry™ technology (which is only available in 800 Series)|The Bosch 800 Series dishwasher provides the ultimate clean and the ultimate drying capabilities including plastics.
Features to look for when shopping for the best dishwashers
Appliances are not cheap therefore when you finally make the decision to purchase a new dishwasher you want to make sure you all of your needs will be met. Most people end up choosing the dishwasher because of the price, color and a few specific benefits. Here are some key features and benefits you should compare before you spend your hard earned money.
- The configuration of racks
Some dishwashers only have the main rack below (for plates) and the rack above (for glasses). But some have a third rack, which is flat and designed for knives and spatulas. Make sure the dishwasher you pick have a third rack.
- Front or top controls
If the controls are on top, it usually means there’s a handle that sticks out on the front of the door. That handle is usually very attractive and can double as a dish towel rack.
- The material that the tub is made from
Some tubs are “tall” tubs and some are made of stainless steel. The stainless steel tubs tend not to stain as much as the plastic ones. But the plastic is heavy duty and should last.
- The noise level
This is the most important feature as far as I’m concerned. Manufacturers tell you how loud dishwashers are in terms of decibels, or dBA. So a lower number implies a quieter model. Most of the dishwashers go from 46 to 60 decibels.
- A soil sensor
The idea is that this sensor automatically determines how dirty your dishes are, and how long they need to be washed. You tend to see these in models that cost more than $500. It means that they can use less water, which saves you money. If the model you want doesn’t have a sensor, it will fill with the same amount of water all the time.
- Self-cleaning or manual-cleaning filter
It’s amazing how much food that filter catches, even if you rinse dishes pretty well. The ones that can clean themselves are louder because of the engine that makes them grind up the food.
- Heated dry cycle
Now this is one feature I love, love, love! With heated dry your dishes will dry faster than if they’re just sitting there. Plus, heated dry generally seems to prevent spotting and I hate spots on my glasses.
Features and Benefits of the Bosch 800 Series Dishwasher
The Bosch 300 Series has the best racks for the money, including a V-shaped third rack and an adjustable middle rack. The extra capacity and flexibility allow it to hold more dishes per cycle (including hard-to-fit items like trays, pots, and cooking tools) than its competitors, all loaded properly so that they should get totally clean.
The new Bosch 800 Series dishwasher delivers a sparkling clean and dry with advanced Precision Wash technology and patented CrystalDry technology. This dishwasher is so smart the sensors continually scan and check the progress of dishes throughout the cycle, and powerful spray arms target every item of every load, for the ultimate clean. There is nothing worse than having to run the dishwasher again because the dishes are still dirty.
At 44 decibels, the 800 Series is also quieter than other dishwashers for the price, and most people won’t even hear it unless they’re standing next to it. Bosch dishwashers have one of the lowest repair rates of any brand, plus a better warranty and more helpful customer service than most.
Like many other dishwashers, the 800 Series is also excellent at cleaning stuck-on foods and is efficient enough to earn the Energy Star badge.
Conclusion of Bosch 800 Series Dishwasher
What sets the Bosch 500 Series Dishwasher apart from the competition is its quiet operation and useful third rack. This model has a 44-dBA noise level rating. It’s so quiet that it has a special light on the exterior to let you know it’s on. The third rack basically works as a utensil holder. It’s located on the top level of the washer and can hold other oddly-shaped items, such as ramekins and ladles.
Each of the racks has ball bearings in their wheels for a seamless glide. And, “FlexSpace” tines fold down on every other row to allow for larger dishes and cookware, like frying pans or pasta bowls. This Energy Star certified appliance consumes about 2.9 gallons per cycle. Bosch backs the parts and labor with a one-year warranty.
Consumer Reports gave the Bosch dishwasher “excellent” ratings for energy use and washing abilities. The reviewer’s lowest rating was for the dishwasher’s ability to dry for which it was graded as good and Lastly, the reviewer found that based on listener judgments and sound-level measurements, this model is quite quiet. Angie’s List and Reviewed both recommend this unit.
Approximately 92% of the people who reviewed the Bosch Dishwasher on the Best Buy website would recommend it to a friend.
