Cabos is perfect for kayaking, swimming, snorkeling, and let us not forget some of the most beautiful views in Mexico.

  1. Cabo Flyboarding
  2. Amigas Del Mar
  3. Wide Open Baja
  4. Canyon Canopy Tour
  5. Playa Del Mar
  6. Sport Fishing
  7. Golfing
  8. Cabo Expeditions

  10. Rent a jet ski and drive near Lovers Beach

  16. Rent an ATV and explore quiet areas along the beach.
  17. Zipline tours
  18. Baja Ranch and Camel Safari

Luxury Sunset Sail Around the Arch

A signature landmark of Los Cabos is the El Arco de Cabo San Lucas—known locally as simply “El Arco” or “the Arch”.  The formation is at the southern tip of Cabo San Lucas which flows into the Sea of Cortez.

From a distance, the rock formation looks like a dragon; up close, the arch frames sky, sea, and sand for beautiful photos.

My dream is to look like Beyonce on a luxury yacht and wave to the common folk as they pass me on their rowboats! Just kidding but not really.

I decided to surprise my wonderful hubby James with a Luxury Sailing Adventure to see the Arches.

I logged onto Viator and purchased our tickets.  Viator is my go-to tour and sightseeing website when I am traveling and looking to book an excursion.

The tour bus picked us up from the Sheraton Los Cabos.  It was a quick drive to where we would be boarding our luxury sailing adventure along with about 10 other couples.

I thought it would be maybe 2 other couples but hey for $85.00 what did I really expect?

We were a group of 14 and it was just enough people because we saw another large party boat pass us and they were packed like sardines in a can!

This was much more private and luxurious. Shortly after leaving the dock, we were greeted with Mimosas and appetizers.

After we checked in and provided the Viator pass we boarded the 50-foot stylish sailboat and begin our adventure.

As we sailed past Lover’s Beach I was disappointed in myself that I had been apprehensive about traveling to Mexico in the past because I allowed the media to alter my perception of Mexico.

If you listen to the U.S. Media you will believe Mexico is dangerous and you will be murdered as soon as your flight lands but this is so far from the truth.

We sank into the soft cushioned seats and were greeted with Mimosas as we admired the spectacular scenery. The staff was absolutely wonderful and made sure our cocktails were refilled immediately!

We were offered beer, wine, cocktails, and softs drinks just in case we needed something other than a cocktail.

Baja Ranch and Camel Safari

We started our adventure with a camel ride along the beach to discover the coastal scenery of the Baja peninsula on an incredible 4-hour tour from the Sheraton Los Cabos.

A camel might not be the first animal that comes to mind when you picture yourself vacationing in Mexico but the Baja Ranch and Camel Safari through Viator Tours is the perfect way to explore the desert and fascinating ecosystem of the Baja outback.

Before the camels and tequila, our guide leads us on a scenic nature walk through the desert.

I learned how to survive if I were in a plane crash and landed in some unknown part of the country where I would need to know which plants to avoid and which ones I could use for food and water.

Look! I don’t do bugs or reptiles and so when we ran across a spider Y’all know I became an award-winning actress!

After our quick lesson on surviving in the desert, we hopped into an open-air, off-roading vehicle for a ride across the sands for our next adventure the “Camel Ride”.

We were escorted through the desert and to the beach by the sexiest humpback camel with the most beautiful eyes I had ever seen.

We set out for a camel ride across a wide stretch of beach along the Pacific where we learned about camel behavior while looking out at the beautiful pacific ocean.

Camels are one of the friendliest and most loving animals you will ever meet. I completely lost track of time and got entranced by their gentle, peaceful, and fun personalities.

Powder “the kissing camel” was super sweet.

I was a tad nervous about putting the carrot in my mouth to feed her but Powder was so sweet and I was worried for absolutely no reason.

What Could Match a Camel Ride? Tequila!

After my date with the sexy humpback, we made our way to a local ranch to refuel over lunch. Savor traditional Mexican dishes including fresh tortillas and authentic salsas. Best

Our tour concluded with a tequila tasting and after a long day of learning about desert and camels, I needed a beverage.

I didn’t have too many shots because tequila will have me questioning my whole existence.

In addition to tasting the tequilas, we learned all about the production and different varieties of the fiery Mexican libation which left me feeling like I had grown hair on my chest.

With more than a dozen championship courses and more on the way, Los Cabos is a big-time golf destination so here are my top places to play golf in Cabo San Lucas.

Best Beaches in Los Cabos

Los Cabos has some of the best beaches in the world including Playa del Amor, or Lover’s Beach, as the name suggests, is a popular destination for visiting couples.

The best and most beautiful beaches around Los Cabos are the following:

  • Lover’s Beach
  • Divorce Beach
  • El Médano

Best Romantic Restaurants in Cabo San Lucas

I wasn’t impressed with any of the food we had here, but the locals we asked said Los Claros and Las Guacamayas are the best local spots to eat.

They weren’t bad, but they weren’t great either. Given the short amount of time, we didn’t get to try many other local restaurants.

These are some of the best upscale restaurants I suggest checking out:

  • Pitahayas (Asian Cuisine,$$$)
  • Edith’s Restaurante (Mexican, $$$)
  • SEARED chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten (Mexican, $ $$$)
  • Lorenzillo’s (Seafood, $$$)
  • Nick-San (Sushi, $$$)
  • El Farallon (Seafood, $$$$)
  • Sunset Monalisa (Steak & Seafood, $$$$)
  • Sur Beach House (Seafood, $ $ $)

What To Pack For Cabo San Lucas

Best Day Trips from Los Cabos:

Mexico is extremely safe so if you’re vacationing more than a few days I suggest renting a car or hiring a car service to visit San Jose del Cabo, the twin city, which together with Cabo San Lucas makes up Los Cabos.

It is perfect for the art-lover.

You can also take some day trips to some great towns nearby. Todos Santos is an artsy quaint town north of Los Cabo to Hotel California.

  • Santa Rita Hot Springs
  • Cabo Pulmo National Park
  • La Paz
  • Hike Fox Canyon
  • Todos Santos
