Best Things To Do In Los Cabos Mexico
If you thought Los Cabos was only for lovers and beaches then you have been misguided. Los Cabos is known for their beaches but you also have trails, rock climbing, hiking, ATV tours or even getting up close and personal with camels and a tequila tasting after you have taken your camel beach ride.
Another signature landmark of Los Cabos is the El Arco de Cabo San Lucas—known locally as simply “El Arco” or “the Arch”. The formation is at the southern tip of Cabo San Lucas which flows into the Sea of Cortez. From a distance, the rock formation looks like a dragon; up close, the arch frames sky, sea, and sand for beautiful photos.

Los Cabos is a destination to reignite your marriage
Apart from the many luxurious boutique hotels, couples can experience some of the natural wonders of Los Cabos. Lover’s Beach is named after the point where two seas unite and the waters are extremely calm compared to the other surrounding beaches.
Baja Ranch and Camel Safari
I started my adventure with a camel ride along the beach to discover the coastal scenery of the Baja peninsula on an incredible 4-hour tour from the Sheraton Los Cabos.
A camel might not be the first animal that comes to mind when you picture your Mexican luxury vacation, but the Baja Ranch and Camel Safari through Viator Tours is the perfect way to explore the desert and fascinating ecosystem of the Baja outback.
Before the camels and tequila, our guide lead us on a scenic nature walk through the desert where I learned how to survive if I were in a plane crash and landed in some unknown part of the country where I would need to know which plants to avoid and which ones I could use for food and water.
Look! I don’t do bugs or reptiles and so when we ran across a spider Y’all know I became an award-winning actress!
After our quick lesson on surviving in the desert, we hopped into an open-air, off-roading vehicle for a ride across the sands for our next adventure the “Camel Ride”.
The moment I have been waiting for my entire life!
I was escorted through the desert and to the beach by the sexiest humpback camel with the most beautiful eyes I had ever seen. We set out for a camel ride across a wide stretch of beach along the Pacific where we learned about camel behavior while looking out at the beautiful pacific ocean.
Camels are one of the friendliest and most loving animals you will ever meet. I completely lost track of time and got entranced by their gentle, peaceful and fun personalities.
Powder “the kissing camel” was super sweet. I was a tad nervous about putting the carrot in my mouth to feed her but Powder was so sweet and I was worried for absolutely no reason.
What could match a camel ride? Tequila!
After my date with the sexy humpback, we made our way to a local ranch to refuel over lunch. Savor traditional Mexican dishes including fresh tortillas and authentic salsas. Best
Our tour concluded with a tequila tasting and after a long day of learning about desert and camels, I needed a beverage. I didn’t have too many shots because tequila will have me questioning my whole existence.
In addition to tasting the tequilas, we learned all about the production and different varieties of the fiery Mexican libation which left me feeling like I had grown hair on my chest.
Luxury Sunset Sail Around the Arch
My dream is to look like Beyonce on a luxury yacht and wave to the common folk as they pass me on their row boats! Just kidding but not really. I decided to surprise my wonderful hubby James with a Luxury Sailing Adventure to see the Arches. Maybe I pretended like the luxury sunset sail was for him.
I logged onto Viator and purchased our tickets. Viator is my go-to tour and sightseeing website when I am traveling.
Sunset Luxury Sail in Los Cabos
The tour bus picked us up from the Sheraton Los Cabos. It was a quick drive to where we would be boarding our luxury sailing adventure along with about 10 other couples. I thought it would be maybe 2 other couples but hey for $85.00 what did I really expect?
We were a group of 14 and it was just enough people because we saw another large party boat pass us and they were packed in like sardines!
This was much more private and luxurious. Shortly after leaving the dock, we were greeted with Mimosas and appetizers.
After we checked in and provided the Viator pass we boarded the 50-foot stylish sailboat and begin our adventure. I have traveled all over the world and Los Cabos is just stunning! As we sailed past Lover’s Beach I was disappointed in myself that I had ever been apprehensive about traveling to Mexico.
We sank into the soft cushioned seats and greeted with Mimosas as we admired the spectacular scenery. The staff was absolutely wonderful and made sure our cocktails were refilled immediately! We were offered beer, wine, cocktails, and softs drinks just in case we needed something other than alcohol.
After we made our way out to the ocean we were able to see sea lions sunning and let me say this those things are funky! Lawd ham mercy! All of that water and they were smelling awful.
Next, we were offered complimentary appetizers like succulent shrimp, seasonal salads, freshly baked bread, exotic fruits, and sweet pastries. By this time the sun was setting and we were able to gaze at the beautiful Cabo San Lucas Bay as the sun sunk into the ocean with a beautiful fiery glow over the water.
We able to take photos with the sun setting in the background and the dramatic curve and rugged formation of Los Cabos Arch.
As we cruised back to the dock and I thought this is why couples must make time for themselves and nurture their relationships. I am all for family trips but we must remember to nurture our spouses as well.

The 270 rooms of the Sheraton Grand Los Cabos are spread out in colorful buildings across pristine grounds. The room decor itself may not be that exciting (tiled floors, rare pops of color, and local artwork attempt to create an authentic vibe.
Every room has a private terrace, many with gorgeous ocean views. The private beach, where the waves can get a bit rough, is rarely crowded. And the hotel also has three pools, one with a swim-up bar.
